Welcome to #KingdomManna on #InspireAfricaProject! Many people do not know that words are like vehicles, their destination is determined by its content. Your present predicament or testimonies are the harvest of your past confessions! The world we live in was crafted by God through His words. Words are seeds sown into the soil of the future, harvest season is coming!
You gain nothing by saying “I am sick”. But you gain everything by saying “I am strong this morning!” In this life, what you say determines what you see, and your confession determines your destination. Words are seeds, the harvests of today are the results of the words you consistently sowed in the past. You cannot sow negative confessions and reap positive harvest in the future. Mind the kind of seeds you are sowing with your tongue.
I read the story of a woman who went to the doctor because she was having what is medically known as Pyrexia of Unknown Origin (PUO). This is a fever without a traceable origin. Nobody knew what caused the fever. They had carried out investigations but could not find anything.
Somebody who understands the power of words asked the woman, “what kind of words do you always speak?” And she said, “Whenever a person said something I didn’t like, I would say, ‘Stop burning me with your words.'” She kept on talking like that until she developed a fever. She burnt herself with her utterance. She was advised to stop speaking like that and she agreed, and the fever died forever!
Researchers discovered that the speech center in the brain controls the nerves. It simply means that, if you wake up in the morning and say something like, ‘It’s like am about to have malaria”, the speech center will send signals to your nerves to get ready for malaria because that’s what you demanded for! The power of life and death is located in your tongue, therefore you must use it wisely.
Naturally speaking, it’s easier to say negative things than positive things, and that’s why you must train your tongue to always say things that will edify you. Recently, I started paying attention to what people are saying about themselves and I discovered that people confess terrible things with their mouths. Few days ago, I met somebody who was very sick and the first thing he said was; “I am gradually dying,” and I rebuked him on the spot. What will he gain by saying that? Absolutely nothing!
Why should somebody who is doing well in his business say that things are difficult while exchanging pleasantries with a friend? Confessing negatively all the time is giving the devil the weapon he needs to assassinate your enviable destiny.
Sometime ago, I read the story of how some people did a particular experiment to demonstrate the power of words. In the process of milking cows in a dairy farm, it was discovered that the cows produced a large volume of sweet milk if pleasant and friendly words and actions were meted out to them. So the body system of animals also respond to the quality of words spoken to them. What a mystery!
Dr Paul Enenche said; “I want you to understand that many of us have done more evil against ourselves than what the devil has ever done. Some people are blaming witches but the greatest attack on their lives is not the attack of witches, but the attack of wrong utterances!”
When you say to your child, “The way you are going, you may end up as a prostitute or an armed robber”, you have just given the devil the weapon he needs to make sure your son or daughter becomes exactly what you said.
You must understand that bad or evil things come from the devil. So when you say evil or bad things like,” This sickness will kill me oooo”, “Things are very difficult in this nation”, “Will I ever conceive a baby in this womb?”, “I am a poor man, what can I do?,” you are indirectly telling the devil that you believe in his assignment and he should come and carry it out in your life!
The energy of your destiny can be determined by the quality of your utterance. Your mouth is designed to create your world just like God used His words to create the world we live in. The first three verses of Genesis chapter one shows how creative and destructive your words are. “First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss. God spoke: “Light!”And light appeared. (Genesis 1:1-3. Message Translation)
The earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness and was covered by darkness. What an average Christian would have done at that point is to lament. He will run to prophets and seers to know the particular enemy that projected that catastrophic incident. But what did God do? He simply said what He wanted to see, not what He hate to see. He recreated the earth with His words.
You can also create the kind of world you want to live in without your words. Locate scriptures that have to do with that challenge and start dealing with it. Stop saying what is happening, and start saying what you want to see. If you can consistently speak to that mountain, it will move by force. Start creating your world with your words. Welcome to the week of supernatural preservation. See you at the top!
