Welcome to Inspire Africa Project! The will to live and fulfil your life mission is a very important force that can launch you on the path to greatness! I have read stories of people who rejected terminal diagnosis, placed their faith in God, redefined their vision and reason for existence and refused to die as predicted!
A man was told by a doctor to prepare to die because he was diagnosed with terminal ailment. The man said, “Me? If I die who will take care of my wife and children? Am not dying!” And he didn’t die.
I heard another story of a man who was pulled out under the rubble of a collapsed skyscraper after seven days. When they asked him how he survived the tragedy he replied, “I willed to live!” Incredible! Medically speaking, the human brain dies four minutes without oxygen, let alone seven days. But because the man refused to surrender his destiny to death and chose to live, the sting of death left him alone and he survived the ordeal.
Dr Paul Enenche said, “My typical prescription for people with terminal illness is for them to write out what they would love to achieve with their lives and what they would achieve for God if they had up to fifteen or more years to live. I would ask them to write those points out and begin to focus on them in prayer and praise with thanksgiving.
I also ask them to see themselves in the realm of the realization of those visions and aspirations. I have noticed that their conditions rapidly became the issue of the past for a couple of them that took the assignment seriously!” My vision is one of the unseen forces that keeps me going in life. Anytime discouragement knocks on the door of my heart, the picture of the kind of future I crafted few years ago will shut the door and send discouragement and fear out of my life. If you don’t want to give up and loose hope, capture the picture of the kind of future you desire, write it on paper and place it on a strategic position in your house or office.
After that, structure your life around that vision. Let your daily activities be channeled towards that particular thing you want to achieve, and depression and hopelessness will check out of your life forever! When the reason for living is available, the hunger for premature death will die both natural and spiritual death. Some people loose hope and commit suicide because they failed to see any reason to live.
No matter the pain, challenges and issues you’re facing right now, my advice is don’t give up. If you can hold on and give your life just one more push, impossibility will be translated into possibility. A great man said, “If you want to be great in this life, you must toughen your skin and deafen your ears!” What did you learn from this discussion?
