Welcome to #KingdomManna on #InspireAfricaProject! In the first part of this discussion we discovered that God will not do anything on earth until He finds a prepared and willing vessel. When a tailor wants to work, he will look for thread, niddle and scissors. When a carpenter wants to work, he will look for hammer, nails and wood.
When a physician wants to work, he will look for thermometer, stethoscope, and patella hammer. When a surgeon wants to work, he will look for surgical blades, forceps etc. When God wants to work, He will look for a prepared vessel. We are God’s instrument! God is ready to use anybody who is willing to donate himself to Him.
Anytime there is a problem in a family, community or nation, what God contends with at that time is not the powerfulness of the devil, but the scarcity or prepared men! I can tell you categorically that there is a shortage of men who are genuinely interested in extending the Kingdom frontiers!
I have been on a missionary journey for some days now that took me to a village, and I discovered that people are hungry for the move of God but quality vessels are scarce. Many ministers relax in Lagos, Abuja and Portharcourt.
Your ministry is not yet tested until you step into the mission field where nobody will give you honorarium! Sometimes I wonder whether the call of God in Nigeria ends in Lagos, Abuja and Portharcourt. Can’t God call you to establish a church in Zamfara state, or somewhere in Yobe state? Let’s look at how you can donate yourself to God.
1. You Must Be A Genuine Christian. God cannot use an individual who refuses to surrender himself to Christ, but likes Christian gathering. Cornelius engaged in prayer, fasting and armsgiving, yet God told him to invite Peter to lead him to Christ. Peter went to his house and preached Christ to him and his family and they were baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit!
God did not use Saint Paul until he surrendered his life to Christ. Many people attend church, vigils and camping programmes but they are complete strangers to God! God does not use outsiders, He uses those who have completely surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ.
If you want to accept Christ right now, kindly say this prayer; Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I confess with my mouth that you are the Savior of the whole world, and I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. I am born again. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen! If you just said this prayer, I want to officially welcome you into the Kingdom of God.
2. You Need Training. Before someone can be called a medical doctor, he must spend seven years in both university and medical school. If you want to specialize in a particularly area, you will spend many years to further your study. Before you can be called a lawyer, you must spend five years in the university, and one year at Law School.
How can someone who gave his life to Christ today become an apostle tomorrow? That’s why some ministers across Africa have turned the body of Christ to drama ministry where every nonsense is accepted! They have succeeded in turning the worship of our King to killing enemies! To become a prepared vessel, you need urgent training. There are important subjects you must know before you can call yourself a minister.
3. You Must Be Ready To Pay A Price. When you watch the video of missionaries who were beheaded by agents of darkness, how do you normally feel? Those missionaries have parents, wives and husbands, children and siblings, but they chose to risk their lives because he that saves his life will loose it!
The death of a Christian is transition into glory. I don’t usually cry when missionaries are murdered because of two major reasons. First, they have raised remnants that will continue the Kingdom assignment in that nation. Sometimes they would establish an underground church that operates like secrets agents during their evangelists adventures!
Secondly, the moment these missionaries arrive in heaven, all the angels would stand up to welcome Kingdom generals that died in active service! So if you are willing to donate yourself to God, you must be ready to pay a dangerous price which includes loosing your life. By the grace of God, I have travelled to minister in a particular area in Nigeria when it was very dangerous to do so and I know what I saw.
The earth cannot be covered with the glory of God until we are ready to leave our comfort zones and step into the mission field. Whenever I hear some people ask God for long life, I usually wonder what they need it for. Stop hunting for miracles and anointing oil and donate yourself to God for the Kingdom expansion project on earth!
Saint Paul was so passionate about the Kingdom expansion project that he said, “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16. Paul literally placed a curse on himself if he refuses to preach the gospel. That’s the kind of zeal we need in this dispensation!
Look at how Jesus and the Apostles paid the ultimate price for the sake of the Kingdom. Jesus was humiliated by His own people even when He did not commit any crime. They flogged Him with a whip that has nail-like thorns that tore His skin. They placed a crown that had nail-like thorns on it, and pressed it into His skull. They made mockery of Him on the way to Calvary, and finally crucified Him on the Cross!
Matthew was killed by a sword. John was thrown into a huge basin of boiling oil. He was miraculously saved and banished to the Island of Patmos where he complied the book of Revelation. James was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple (over a hundred feet down) when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, they clubbed him to death.
Bartholomeo was killed in Amenia. Andrew was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Greece after being whipped severely by seven soldiers. While on the x-shaped cross, he said; “I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.” Thomas was stabbed with a spear in India. Matthias was stoned and then beheaded. Paul was tortured and then beheaded by Emperor Nero in Rome.
Every believer must be ready to pay a price for the Kingdom expansion project on earth! Are you ready to donate yourself to God and possibly pay the altimited price? May the Lord empower and use you mightily. To be continued next Sunday. Welcome to the week of supernatural interventions!
