Welcome to #KingdomManna on #InspireAfricaProject! Several centuries ago, our ancestors were so comfortable in their towns and villages, and never bothered about opening up Africa to the world, until David Livingstone and others came, discovered and probably exploited them. I won’t blame them because they were idol worshippers. What really disturbs me is that our generation that have the advantage of knowing Jesus are busy chasing demon while ungodly nations are taking over Africa economically! The next phase of colonization is currently going on across Africa and believers don’t even care.
Am yet to understand why nations that are not as religious as Africa are developing more than us. These nations are not only developing rapidly, but they are taking over Africa! Nations that doesn’t believe in Christ are taking over a continent that binds demon every minute. What a paradox!
One of the things I discovered very early in life that makes people misunderstand my concept of Christianity is that am not saved just to make heaven. Jesus Christ saved me so that I can become a societal transformer, solution provider and game changer! If the essence of of salvation is just for you to make heaven, you will die the very minute you receive Jesus Christ into your heart. Heaven is our ultimate goal, but before we get there, we have serious assignments on earth.
Unfortunately, the African brand of Christianity is to carry big Bibles, look for enemies, use Psalms to kill them, and hunt for blessings the rest of your life. The kind of teachings that are delivered on different altars across Africa shows why we are not raising many pace-setters and generational transformers. The messages are centered on enemies, enemies, enemies, demons, altars, ancestral curses and warfare! How can we transform the society when we are substituting work with favor? How can we transform Africa when we are preaching the gospel of hatred from January to December?
While speaking on Work Ethics 101 in one of our conferences this year, I said that work is not primarily designed for us to make money, but to transform the society and develop ourselves. If we keep telling people that they can become wealthy by simply engaging in seven days midnight warfare, we will end up raising a generation that is only interested in getting something for nothing, and thereby underdevelop our nations!
I strongly believe that after preaching John 3:16, we should endeavor to also preach 1 John 3:16. Look at what God said in John 3:16; “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
In 1 John 3:16, God said; “By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” God is saying that I sent My Son to save you, so that you can become a savior! The Body of Christ is designed to raise the army of saviors. Unfortunately we are raising the army of demon chasers and enemy killers. We are raising the army of anointing oil drinkers and prophecy hunters.
It’s good to fast and pray, I do that all the time. It’s good to teach Christians the secrets of warfare, I do that too. It’s good to prophesy and see visions, God does that through me also. But our major assignments on earth are; soul winning, self discovery and societal information! I teach self discovery because I want to help us know the areas God created us to function so that we can influence it. If you read my book, Increasing Your Capacity for Exploits, you will see the seven major areas God wants us to influence on earth.
The church is supposed to be a teaching center, where believers are empowered to go into the society and transform it. After watching the men that built America, who are majorly Christians, I began to ask God to raise people like that in Africa. John. D. Rockefeller established standard oil, and used kerosene and lantern to give America light. Thomas Edison invented the incandescent light bulb, and met J. P. Morgan to invest in his invention so that they can give America better light than lantern. They were not just out to make money, they were more interested in finding solutions to the challenges of America. That is why I teach wealth creation.
The Old Testament giants, who did not have the Bible or experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit did more than most of us. Moses singlehandedly led three million people out of slavery, and strategically raised other leaders like Joshua who led the people into the promised land. Joseph literally transformed Egypt with godly wisdom and creativity. Daniel was not a prophet nor a priest, he was a politician. But he literally transformed Babylon, Persia and other nations with uncommon wisdom and spirituality.
The missionaries that came to Africa brought three major things. They led our ancestors to Christ, and they jettisoned idolatry, and embraced Christianity. Secondly they brought education to transform the minds of those who were saved. The leading schools in the past, and even now are missionary schools like; CMS Grammar School, Baptist Boys high School, and many Catholic schools. The third thing they brought was commerce. They opened up Africa for international trade.
That’s what I call complete salvation. They led people to Christ, changed their mentality with quality education, and finally showed them the better way to make money. That’s is the assignment we should pursue with the tenacity of a bulldog. God wants us to be wealthy so that we can have the means to transform our society.
Dear friend, what is your contribution to your nation? Is your Christianity affecting others? What impact have you made in your community? How many lives have you touched since you became a Christian? Jesus saved you so that you can save others. If you are saved and your salvation is not saving others, then you are failing in your duty. If you’re rich, and your riches are not reaching others, then it’s a useless wealth. God placed you where you are right now so that you can transform it. Let’s rise and use our God given wisdom to give poverty and mediocre leadership a bloody nose! Welcome to the world of unlimited possibilities!
