Welcome to #InspireAfricaProject! Most people allow their lives to simply happen to them. They float along. They wait. They react. They complain and blame their parents, siblings, uncles, native doctors, Satan and bad luck. And by the time a large portion of their life is behind them, they realize they should have been more productive and strategic.
No wonder Jim Rohn said; “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you will fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they may have planned for you? Not much.” If God was waiting for things to happens by itself we will not be on this planet today. God strategically structured the earth even before we arrived.
Many people are stranded in life because they failed to plan on how to cross the bridge before they get to it. By the time they decided to plan, it was too late. Let’s consider three more things you should plan for. (It’s few days to Inspire Africa Project Conference, you still have the opportunity to make your payment. Do it right now. Check the handbill or call 07032681154 for more information)
2. Plan For Your Children’s Education. Before you even start planning for this, you should decide the number of children you will have. Why should a man whose daily income is N2,000 have eight children? Is that not an invitation to premature death? That man should understand that every meal in his house is like a mini party. His wife will literally organize a mini-sized part anytime she enters the kitchen. Why should wealthy people that can easily take care of one hundred children at the same time have two or three children, while an individual who is struggling to survive have ten? I believe the rich wants quality children.
Wise parents plan for their children’s education before they even enroll them in school. Most insurance companies have fantastic products that will help you plan for your children’s education. I heard the story of a man who suddenly died but continues to pay his children school fees from the grave. How did he do that? He opened school fee account in an insurance company, and one of the agreements he had with them was, if he dies, the insurance company will train his children to the university level. Am sure his children will never forget him forever. Don’t wait until it’s too late to plan, please start now!
3. Plan For Your Retirement. Have you ever asked yourself how you will survive when you become old? Some of us might say that their children will take care of them which sounds nice, what if they don’t? What if your children travel abroad and even change your surname? One day, your children will leave home, and the only person that will stay with you is your spouse. How will you survive then?
If you are still in your 20s, I think you should have a thirty year plan. You can channel all your investments into real estate. Keep buying lands, houses, and shopping centers. These are the kind of investments that will sustain you when you grow old.
If you don’t want to end up in old people’s home when you grow old, kindly start planning for that period right now. I feel sad anytime I see an old man or woman hawking things on the traffic. Most times I deliberately buy things from them and give them double the amount. Sit down with your spouse right now and plan for your retirement.
4. Plan For Your Death. There are two ways to plan for your death. First, you must have a will. If you don’t want your children to kill themselves when you die, kindly prepare your will. Writing your will doesn’t mean you are about to die, it simply shows that you are wise.
Let your spouse know all the accounts you have in the bank, and your investments. If you fail to do that, you have indirectly laboured for strangers. Bank will never inform your spouse that you have an account with them. They like dead people’s money.
Tell your children your family history. Some of us were born in the city and grew up in the city without knowing anything about our root. If you don’t want your offspring to become strangers in their fathers village, kindly transfer your family history to them. Start now!
Secondly, if you drop dead right now, where will your soul report to? Heaven or hell? Anybody can claim heaven by mere words, but it’s your present lifestyle that determines your destination. Heaven is a choice likewise hell fire.
Somebody might say, what if there is nothing like heaven or hell? The answer is simple, I loose nothing by living right. I loose nothing by living a life of emulation. Many people left their homes yesterday but never returned alive. To a genuine believer in Christ, death is the pathway to real life. When a genuine Christian dies, we don’t cry because he or she is in a better place. But when a sinner dies, people should cry because it’s a tragic incident.
Look at what Jesus said; “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.
And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Luke 12:35-40.
Dear friend, don’t allow anything to take your focus away from heaven. As you plan for every other thing in life, don’t forget to plan for eternity. Abraham was rich on earth, and was equally rich with God.
You can surrender your life to Jesus Christ right now by simply saying; Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I confess with my mouth that you are the Savior of the whole world, and I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. I am born again. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen! Welcome to the family of God!
