THE POWER OF DISCIPLINE! (PART 1)

Welcome to Inspire Africa Project! Discipline is one of the major forces that can take you straight to the top. The difference between achieves and non-achievers is discipline. No athlete can succeed in sports without imbibing the discipline of continuous and consistent training that may not be palatable sometimes. To win an Olympic gold, you need four years of consistent training, no matter how you feel.

Discipline is the major foundation anyone who wants to succeed in life must lay from day one. No one can get to the top without having boundaries! If you fail to define your boundaries from day one, it will be very easy for you to derail. If Joseph did not have boundaries, he would have sold his destiny to Mrs. Portiphar!

The structure of the military shows how discipline can turn a weakling into a rugged soldier. “When you enter the military you begin with an experience called “boot camp.” The purpose of boot camp is to take Mama’s fat little biscuit eater and transform him into a lean, mean, fighting machine.

When you arrive at this transformation camp, they shave your long, beautiful, curly hair off and give you baggy clothes in place of your designer jeans. They feed you food that you wouldn’t feed your dog and give you fifteen minutes to eat it. You are introduced to a drill instructor (DI) who marches you until your blistered feet bleed, and in less than twenty-four hours you are absolutely sure he is the antichrist. The untapped Treasures

You drop into your bunk dead tired, and your worst nightmare becomes reality-it’s morning- the DI walks into your barracks at 4:00am screaming his head off as he hammers the inside of a garbage can with his swagger stick. Mama is not at the breakfast table to kiss you on the cheek, welcoming you to another new and exciting day or asking if you would like another buttermilk biscuit or strawberry jelly.

This is not punishment! Why is it happening? It’s happening because your DI is transforming his men from a group of self-serving and self-centered young men into a razor-sharp fighting unit tougher than a junkyard dog!

As a result of your endurance of this extreme discipline, you are not a big, fat target running around in a baggy green uniform looking for a new way to get killed in combat. Instead, you know how to endure severe problems, adapt to new environments, and overcome whatever situation develops in the combat zone.”~John Hagee. The Pursuit of Excellence By Ifeanyi AC Eze

Just like soldiers, you cannot stand out in life unless you enrol into the university of discipline. Those who run from pain will definitely abandon their gain. Success in any venture is not found on a plater of gold, they are located in a basket full of thorns! If you are not ready to confront challenges you cannot become a conqueror!

Discipline is a good friend not an enemy. To be continued. Don’t ever forget this; you are like a house full of treasures, under lock and key! See you at the top!
