Welcome to #InspireAfricaProject! The difference between genuine first class students and average students is insistence on excellence. The difference between Kentucky Fried Chicken, Chicken Republic and Mama-Put is excellence. The difference between a local champion and a global personality is the lifestyle of excellence. The difference between the farmers that labour yearly to produce cocoa, and Nestle that buys the cocoa from them is excellence

When you see a house that was built by a roadside bricklayer and the one that was built by a qualified structural engineer, you will see the true meaning of excellence. There are some bungalows (Face-me-I-face you) you will enter in Lagos, you will discover that a particular room is always dark every time of the day. What’s responsible for it? It was built by a mediocre bricklayer who doesn’t know how to position a house for proper ventilation!

Isn’t it amazing that Dubai built a paradise in the desert while most African countries that are blessed with rich natural resources are wallowing in abject poverty? The difference is that the leaders of Dubia loves excellence while most leaders in Africa institutionalized mediocrity! The Pursuit of Excellence By Ifeanyi AC Eze

Am sure you heard about a serving minister who told us that dressing masqueredes can create thousands of jobs. That’s the kind of mediocre leaders we are raising in Africa. The world is talking about technology and the 4th Industrial Revolution that is radically changing the way we live and do things, and an African leader is talking about ancient things. Am also sure you heard our sports minister say that they didn’t plan to pay Super Falcon’s allowances because they didn’t think they would win the tournament in Cameroon.

Shiek Mohammed bin Rashid Al Marktoun, the king of Dubai said, “Because Dubai is a city of excellence, it’s projects must reflect excellence in concept, taste and practice, and they should also reflect elegance.” He went on to say, “When excellence becomes a natural extension of people’s psychological constitution, their links with mundane life will be severed and reverting to old ways will become symbols of backwardness.”

I strongly believe that when excellence becomes a lifestyle, mediocrity will become a thing of the past. When excellence becomes a lifestyle, you don’t have any other option than to go for the best in all you do. The difference between an average employee and the best employee is the love for going extra mile in all he or she does.

Whenever people complain about their wicked boss I usually tell them that they can daze their boss by adding a touch of excellence in everything they do. As a marketer or salesperson, if your boss says that your monthly sales should be maximum of N5 million, and you succeeded in surpassing that target every month, even if your boss is related to the devil, he or she must increase your pay or promote you. No organization can terminate the appointment of their best staff.Inspire Africa Project

Excellence is to produce works of distinction. Until you brace up to your challenges or assignments, and raise your efforts above the average, you canont attain the mark of excellence. It is amazing to see people strive simply to attain the minimum standard. Research has shown that when an establishment sets a target for their employees, over eighty percent will strive to meet the minimum benchmark.

This fact explains why only twenty percent of the world population controls eighty percent (of the total wealth of this world), while eighty percent controls twenty percent. It shows that majority always strive just for the bare minimum while a minority twenty percent strives for the maximum.

To explain excellence, Jesus said; “….and whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.” One mile is the normal level a mediocre will run if he is asked to. But an excellent man will go beyond one mile. He will bring extra value to everything he does and that’s what separates him from the crowd!15 Laws of Money

If you stop at doing what you’re asked to do, you will fall far short of excellence. To become a person of excellence you must be ready to give in your best at all time. You must imbibe the habit of repeating sterling performance all the time. Once you’re known for excellence, poverty will check out of your life forever!

Booker T. Washington said that, “Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way.” An unknown author said, “Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.” If you want to stand out in life, you must imbibe the culture of excellence. To be continued. See you at the top!
