Welcome to Inspire Africa Project! I discovered that many people marry, establish businesses, enter into agreements and do many other things without getting full details of what they are going into. Some marriages collapsed because the couple based their decision on revelation without knowing whom they were getting married to.
Some business people are moving from church to ministry, and from ministry to shrines because their businesses are not flourishing without conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain what went wrong.
Our obsession with demons and charms has caused more harm than good in this part of the world. Haven’t you discovered that when people die, we don’t ask what killed him, but who killed him? The person may have slept off while driving or was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. All we think about is that somebody in the village has killed him.
A man wanted to establish a business in a particular city in America and conducted a rugged feasibility study. He knocked on 12,500 doors to know whether the people would patronize his business or not. His business grew with unprecedented speed within one year!
Most of us will rather drink anointing oil and pour some in the shop instead of conducting feasibility study. When we discover that the business is not flourishing, we will look for a prophet that will make a business that was established in a wrong place to flourish. God did not remove your brain because you believe in Him. If you want to succeed in this life, kindly get the facts before you step out. It takes fact to be fat! The facts you gather will guarantee a fat bank account.
Let’s grab some wisdom from this story. Tim Ferries shocked everybody when he won the national kickboxing championship within just six weeks of training! What was his secret? He did not assume anything about the rules of kickboxing, but instead checked them thoroughly. He learned from his research that if you threw your opponents out of the ring twice in one round, you won the match.
Now, in kickboxing, most people think of kicking and boxing. Ferries, on the other hand, was a wrestler by training. So he told his coach, “Don’t teach me how to knock someone out. Teach me how to throw my opponent out of the ring while not getting knocked out myself.” That was how he won the championship.
He determined the difference between what the rules actually were and what people assumed the rules were. In life, there are a lot of instances where there is a space to maneuver between rules. If you don’t ask and simply assume you cannot accomplish anything. Other kickboxers were guessing what the rule said, but Tim Ferries engaged in an indept study of the rules and dazed established kickboxers on the process.
The difference between the rich and the poor is knowledge. If you know what the rich knows, you will have what they have. The difference between a first class student and the last class student is knowledge. If I were you, I will find out what that first class student does on daily basis, and I will get a better result in future.
A man or woman that wants to establish a business should find out how some people succeeded by either reading their books or attending their seminars. Is it not madness for somebody to invest N5 million in a business he knows nothing about? All he knows is what his friend or relation told him, and he never take some time to gather facts by himself.
One of the reasons why some people don’t like some of the things I teach is because they are a little bit tasking. We prefer praying then researching and if it didn’t work, we will blame the devil. You may not even gather the facts by yourself, pay somebody to do it on your behalf. I still remember a man that wanted to go into production but didn’t know what to produce. What he did was to pay a consultant to prepare a business plan for him on how to produce at least three things. He is flourishing today.
John Adams said, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” Prayer is very important, but don’t forget to conduct a thorough research while praying. Wisdom is profitable to direct! You can share the link with your friends, but to copy is not allowed. Kindly share your views at the comment section of this blog.
