WASTE KILLS THE FUTURE IN ADVANCE! (PART 1)

Welcome to #MoneyWise on #InspireAfricaProject! Money is a floating asset, anybody can get it, but only the wise and those who are financially intelligent can save and invest it. Several years ago, I used to think that everybody cannot be wealthy. In fact, I used to think that being wealthy is exclusively reserved for some people. That was my perception about wealth until I discovered two major things that separates the rich and the poor.

A. Their Mindsets. Poverty is not the absence of cash, but the condition of your mind. You are poor not because it is the will of God for you, but because of the way you think. You are poor not because you don’t have money, but because of the way you think. For example, anytime am speaking on business and wealth creation in certain places and mention one billion dollars, some people usually shout. Why? Because they have never imagined having that kind of money.

If you can open their minds, you will see why they are shouting. They are contented with having something like N50, 135. People like that can never get into the million or billion range until they can capture it in their minds. You cannot think poor and end up as a success. You cannot think like a failure and end up as a success. The quality of your thought determines the size of your purse!12-Pillars-pillars-of-success

No wonder the wise man said, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” The quality of your thought determines the quality of your life. If you can open the mind of a beggar, you will see why he has remained a beggar for twenty years. If what occupies your mind is how to go to one uncle, niece, nephew, elder brother or distanced cousin to beg for your children’s school fees every year, you can never become financially free.

On the other hand, if you open the mind of Aliko Dangote or Mike Adenuga you will see why they a billionaires! They don’t think about how to meet their needs or pay school fees, they are thinking about how to establish their businesses in every nation in Africa. They are not thinking that way because they are rich, it was that kind of thought that brought them to where they are right now.

You don’t have to wait to be rich before you start thinking big, you have to think big before you can become wealthy. Abraham was relatively rich when God said to him; … “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are, northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”

God was indirectly saying to Abraham, “stop looking down on yourself because you’re yet to become very wealthy, lift up the eyes of your mind and see how big you can become before it happens. In other words, it is the condition of your mind when you are small that will determined how big you will become in future. God was telling Abraham, although you’re small for now, but don’t think small. He told Abraham that whatever he sees with the eyes of his mind, he will definitely actualize.

Why do people remain small for life? Because their present condition has beclouded their minds. That is why many motorcycle operators (Okada riders) remain in that profession for life. All they think about is how to make their usual N3,000 daily, walk into a pub and squander N1, 500, and tomorrow they will repeat the same thing. But if they see the Okada business as a means of raising capital for their ideas, they will not remain at a spot for life.

It will be difficult for you to become wealth while thinking like a pauper. It’s normal to start small because only grave diggers start from the top, but it is an injustice to your enviable destiny to remain small. You can think big and start small. If you read the biographies of influential people, you will discover that they started just like everybody. The different between them and some of us is that they had large vision.15 Laws of Money

To break out of littleness, you must think big. Dream is free, so why limit yourself to little things? To change your income you must change your mindset. To change your status you must imbibe the kind of thinking that will make it happen. You cannot think the same way you have always thought and expect changes. To create lasting wealth you must stretch your mental power to that dimension. The secret of the rich is their rich minds.

Someone might look at Dangote Group and wonder why they are still expanding in all fronts, after all, the organization is already a multibillion corporation. The answer is simple, the quality of your mind is too infantile compared to theirs. If you have the kind of wealthy minds they have, you will understand why they are always moving from one project to another! What is the second reason, and how do people spend their future? To be continued. You can order for my books, like, 15 Laws of Money, and Twelve Pillars of Financial Success, to learn more. Wisdom is profitable to direct!
