Welcome to #InspireAfricaProject! To stand out in life you must be ready to do outstanding things. Those who play safe hardly break new grounds. Many people relax in a mess waiting for their ship to arrive, instead of jumping into the sea to catch up with the ship. No one can build a conglomerate without taking series risks. No one can become a world Changer without taking calculated risks.
The economy of your country is not your problem, it’s your inability to take calculated risk. Anytime I watch mountain climbers and surfers, I wonder what gave them the courage to attempt some of the things they do. Most Africans hide under the cover of religion to pamper mediocrity. Instead of stepping out of our comfort zones to take some uncomfortable steps, we will hide under our enemies are after us!
Can’t you see that some nations that doesn’t believe in God but knows how to take calculated risks are taking over Africa? China is gradually taking over Africa. Virtually everything we use in Africa comes from a nation that doesn’t believe in God. They build our roads, construct our railways, build our airports, and flood our markets with electronics, cars, drugs and virtually everything! What kind of Christianity are we practicing? When Jesus was on the earth, He took charge and turned problems to testimonies. Jesus said that we are the light of the world, not the light of the church.
Opportunities are supernaturally orchestrated circumstances that can become profitable if someone can risk his time, money and energy to pursue it! So you can see that it’s not the will of God for you to struggle, but you are stranded in life because you are not ready to break out of your comfort zone and attempt what seems impossible.
One of the greatest risk takers in the Bible was Noah. God saw that wickedness was thriving on earth, and told Noah to build an ark (boat or ship) because He wanted to judge humanity with flood. Noah started building the ark in a dry ground! Nobody builds a ship inside the town because it doesn’t have tryes! Ships are built at the shore or harbour so that the moment you are through, you will simply roll it into the sea.
How will you feel if God calls you today, and ask you to build a ship at the back of your house that is located in a landlocked area? That was exactly what God told Noah to do and he did not argue with Him. Noah started work immediately.
If you saw Noah when he was building the ark, what would you say? Won’t you say that he was crazy or something? It took him about one hundred and twenty years to complete the project yet he never stopped. What if the rain did not fall? It’s possible that while Noah was labouring to build the ark, somebody said, “look at this old fool who is building a ship on a dry ground, how will it float?”
Did the ark later float? Oh yes! Noahs’ risk paid off in a grand style. He saved his family and his three daughters-in-laws, and equally saved all manner of animals. What happened to his mockers? All of them perished!
It’s possible that you are presently dilly-dallying between two opinions, you don’t know whether you should choose A or B. My advise is simple, go ahead and choose one! If you fail kindly learn from your mistakes, but if you succeed, praise the Lord. Some young men and women are still single today because they lack the inner tenacity to take decisive steps! There are no angels on earth, choose someone and get married!
My greatest discovery in the school of success is that there is no favourable period to do something. If you’re waiting for a perfect time you might wait forever. Take that step right now, initiate that business idea, make that important call now, attend that meeting immediately, launch that idea right now! Just do it now!
The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the next best time is right now. Stop telling stories because nobody is ready to listen. You have only one life to live, kindly make it count. Albert Einstein said; “A ship is always safe at the shore – but that is NOT what it is built for.” Ralph Waldo Emerson equally said that; “Don’t be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.”
